سُورَةُ القدر
al-Qadr— The Power
Notes & justification
Al-Bazzī (Ibn Kathīr's first transmitter) doubles the tāʾ of تَنَزَّلُ when it is joined to the word before it — تَّنَزَّلُ — and reads it light when starting on it; everyone else reads it light in both cases. The table prints no cell for it because the doubling exists only in the join from شَهْرࣲ. The first couplet lays down al-Bazzī's rule of doubling the tāʾ in the join, with تَيَمَّمُوا and تَوَفَّىٰ in Sūrat al-Nisāʾ as the opening examples; the second lists تَنَزَّلُ among the four words of that group together with تَنَاصَرُونَ, نَاراً تَلَظَّىٰ and إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَ.
And in the join, for al-Bazzī, double (the tāʾ of) tayammamū, and the tāʾ of tawaffā in al-Nisāʾ, transmitted from him without restriction.
Tanazzalu — four occurrences from him — and tanāṣarūna, nāran talaẓẓā, idh talaqqawna: all doubled.
