The muṣḥaf page

The book sets its tables āyah by āyah, which is right for a reference work. But nobody recites in āyāt — they recite in lines. The eye takes a line, the memory holds a line, and the page turn falls where it falls.

This view puts the ten readings under each line of the traditional fifteen-line muṣḥaf, in the layout every printing of the Madani muṣḥaf shares. You can also pick any of the fifteen readings as the base line — the apparatus is stored as differences from Ḥafṣ and recomputed against whichever you choose.
